Founder + Curiosity Architect

Devin Fullilove

Devin is a longtime homeschool mom, educator, program builder, and project-based learning nerd with a lifelong love of helping people discover what they are capable of.

Before becoming a mom, Devin worked as a national trainer and instructional designer in the wireless technology industry, creating learning experiences for adults and helping people feel more confident in new skills. After having her oldest daughter, Ava, she stepped away from that work to focus on raising her and took the lead on Ava’s preschool education.

During those early years, Devin partnered with another mom to host weekly preschool workshops from her home. Their classes blended child-led learning with Montessori- and Charlotte Mason-inspired ideas, giving children room to learn through play, movement, hands-on projects, stories, and friendship.

Watching those kids light up changed everything. Devin saw that children retained information most deeply when they were genuinely excited to learn — when learning felt like a game, an adventure, a shared project, or something they could explore alongside friends. Connection, play, and emotional investment are not extras in learning; they are often the doorway in.

When Ava was four, Devin found the Brace Family YMCA homeschool program in Charlotte, North Carolina. Its multi-age learning, project-based classes, joyful experiences, and passion-led adults immediately clicked. Devin taught with YMCA homeschool programs for five years as both a teacher and administrator, developing curriculum, teaching in the drop-off program, organizing community events, and working with learners from preschool through high school. Science became her favorite subject because it invites questions, experimentation, messes, surprises, and unforgettable “wait… I figured it out!” moments.

After moving to Texas in 2021, Devin helped open the Central Texas YMCA’s homeschool pilot program before continuing to teach in local co-ops and homeschool drop-off programs. Along the way, she kept seeing the same need: families deserved learning spaces that were more affirming, more flexible, more welcoming, and more human. CurioSpark Collective grew from that belief.

Through co-ops, workshops, field trips, secular holiday celebrations, and creative learning experiences, CurioSpark gives children room to explore their interests while giving homeschooling adults a place to share their passions, build community, and earn supplemental income doing work they genuinely love.

Favorite Spark: Project-based STEM, messy science, real-world problem solving, and curiosity that spirals into a full adventure.

Fun fact: Devin is still the person at the front saying, “I have a plan,” while quietly building the plan in real time with a clipboard, caffeine, and unreasonable optimism.

Rosie Cano

Rosie is a longtime homeschool mom, nature community builder, proud Pisces, and full-time believer that healing happens best outside — preferably under trees, near water, and with kids running around collecting weird bugs and shiny rocks.

After six years of homeschooling, years of building homeschool communities, organizing field trips, supporting neurodivergent families, surviving an absolutely ridiculous amount of medical plot twists, and entering what she lovingly calls her “Chapter 40 recalibration era,” Rosie realized she no longer wanted perfect communities. She wanted honest ones.

The kind where:

kids can stim, wander, hyperfocus, info-dump, ask endless questions, need breaks, or sit quietly collecting sticks
parents can stop pretending they have it all together
teens feel genuinely seen
families can exhale instead of perform

That heart became Trailbound Treasure Hunters. Rosie’s approach focuses on connection over perfection, nervous-system-safe community, mixed-age collaboration, sensory-friendly exploration, outdoor confidence without pressure, and helping families feel welcomed exactly as they are.

Nature may personally attack Rosie’s allergies 24/7, but she refuses to give up on the outdoors because she genuinely believes some of the deepest healing, regulating, and connecting moments happen outside in fresh air, sunlight, dirt, creek water, and community.

Around Trailbound, you’ll usually find her taking candid photos of families making memories together, hyping up nervous kids who are hesitant to join in, becoming everyone’s accidental personal cheerleader, helping overwhelmed parents feel less alone, and organizing scavenger teams while forgetting whether she packed enough snacks for her own children.

Her boys are the unofficial “Bug Boys” of the co-op and can identify an alarming number of insects and tiny woodland creatures faster than most adults. Rosie fully admits she does not have everything together — which honestly might be what makes families feel comfortable around her in the first place.

Favorite Spark: Nature scavenger hunts, local flora and fauna exploration, sensory-friendly outdoor adventures, mindfulness in nature, mixed-age teamwork, and turning ordinary park days into meaningful memories families will remember years later.

Fun fact: Rosie may forget extra snacks, but she WILL absolutely stop mid-hike to take candid photos of your family connecting in nature while simultaneously cheering on your child like they just completed an Olympic event for spotting a cool beetle.

Aegean Thompson

Aegean is a veteran homeschool mom of 8 years who was drawn to CurioSpark’s welcoming, non-judgmental space. With a lifetime of early childhood experience, she is dedicated to nurturing young minds and making early learning a joyful, lifelong adventure.

Aegean loves working with the “littles” because it is such a precious stage of development. Her favorite kind of learning happens when kids are so deeply immersed in a hands-on activity that they absorb foundational skills naturally through the joy of doing.

Fun fact: Books have always been Aegean’s window to the world, and when she’s not keeping up with the creative chaos of her own three kids, she is busy writing a fantasy novel. She is designing her upcoming classes to feel like a living storybook, blending her love for imagination with hands-on play to turn both early reading and math engineering into a magical adventure.

Emily Jaeger

Emily brings early childhood education, homeschool experience, and high-energy hands-on learning to CurioSpark, creating welcoming spaces where children can move, explore, problem-solve, and be fully themselves.

Hi, I’m Emily! I have a background in early childhood education, years of homeschooling experience, and have worked in a homeschool drop-off program. I love creating hands-on, high-energy learning experiences that build curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

I’ve taught LEGO Robotics and outdoor science workshops and recently helped lead Build Lab, HydroHackers, Wild Walks, and Chemistry Club. I’m especially passionate about creating welcoming, neurodivergent-affirming spaces where kids can move, explore, problem-solve, and be fully themselves.

Outside of CurioSpark, I’m a Little League baseball coach, a mom to two amazing boys, a duck-raising enthusiast from hatchling days, and someone with a whole lot of energy for adventure. I love Dungeons & Dragons and parkour, and I’m so excited to bring that love of storytelling, teamwork, creativity, and epic quests to Adventure Guild!
